News - What is flexible marble?

Flexible marble as known as flexible stone and bendable marble - is an ultra thin marble stone veneer. It’s a new type of stone product with a significantly lower thickness than standard stone (often ≤5mm, the thinest can reach 0.8mm). Its main advantages are its lightweight design, material and energy savings, and ease of installation. It can maintain the texture of real stone while adjusting to increasingly complicated situations. Almost all natural marble stones can be processed into ultra thin flexible marble stone veneer, especially marble, travertine stone and some luxury quartzite stones

Flexible marble consists of a thin, resilient backing layer bonded to an ultra-thin natural marble veneer composite. Its versatility is transformative: depending on its thickness (about 0.8-5 mm), designers may construct seamless curved walls, rounded columns, curved worktops, thin marble wall panels, ceiling marble with light  or wrapped furniture pieces that would be practically impossible with stiff stone.

For designers, architects, and homeowners, flexible thin marble tiles and slabs bridge the gap between elegance and functionality. It has the classic elegance of marble without the weight, stiffness, or complicated installation requirements, making it an excellent choice for projects requiring both aesthetic quality and practical adaptability. Flexible marble, whether used to create powerful curving feature walls or delicate column wraps, demonstrates that the timeless appeal of natural stone is no longer limited by weight or rigidity—it can perfectly accord with the most ambitious architectural aspirations.
